Do You Need Back Surgery?
There are times when surgery for back pain or radiating leg pain is necessary and appropriate for some patients. For example, when there is a loss of bladder or bowel control, progressively worsening neurological symptoms in spite of non-surgical care, unstable fractures, cancer and infections.
If you have any of the above conditions, rest assured, there are great back surgeons who can help you. Also, for your peace of mind, get a 2nd or a 3rd opinion from other surgeons before going ahead with back surgery.
If you don’t have any of the above conditions that require surgery, try other non-surgical treatments first. For example, DRX9000 non-surgical spinal decompression treatment that we have in office has helped a lot of patients avoid back surgery. The gentle stretching from the DRX9000 relieved their low back pain and leg pain. And the patients not helped by the DRX9000 could still get surgery or try other non-surgical treatments.
Get peace of mind by exhausting your non-surgical options before taking your chances with back surgery.
